Outlaw Brine For Chicken

Ingredients:
1 Gallon of water

1 cup kosher/sea salt
1 cup brown sugar

Instructions:
Mix all of the ingredients together in a large container. Bowl, pot, etc..Mix well.
Gallon zip bags work great for brining. Split ingredients and use 2 bags if needed.
Place your chicken in the bags or other sealable container.
Scoop or poor brine into container with chicken making sure the meat is completely covered.
Place container with brine and chicken in refrigerator.
You can brine for a few hours, overnight, or a couple of days.

When you remove your meat from the brine, lightly rinse with cool water to remove excess salt.
Pat dry and your meat is ready for the spices/rubs of your choice.
