Baked beans go with barbecue like Bees and Honey. This easy to make recipe will be a keeper you'll use again and again. Keep in mind this is a "Party Size" recipe. If your just doing it just for your family or a small gathering, you might want to cut it in half.

Ingredients:
2)  55 oz. Cans Bush’s Original Baked Beans, Do not drain. (You can use your brand or flavor of choice )
2) TBS Yellow Mustard
4
) TBS Brown Sugar

1) Onion (Coarsely Diced)
1) tsp. Ground Cayenne Pepper (optional)
6) Strips of Bacon

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Pour beans into a 9 x13 inch casserole dish or nonstick baking pan with a lid and spread evenly.
(You can use foil to cover if necessary)
Add Yellow Mustard, Brown Sugar, Ground Cayenne and Diced Onion.
Mix well but don’t mash the beans up.
Lay strips of Bacon evenly to cover entire top but not overlapping.

Cooking:
Place the dish or pan in the oven uncovered.
Let the beans cook for approximately 1 hour at 350 degrees until hot and bubbling.
Reduce the oven temperature to 250 degrees.
Continue to cook beans uncovered at 250 degrees.
Check every hour or so until you start to see them begin to thicken up, approximately 1 to 2 hours. Don't over cook them, they will thicken considerably as they cool down.
Cover and set aside until read to serve. Can be reheated "covered" in the oven if needed.
If beans get too thick, mix in a little water or BBQ sauce to thin them down.
Keep covered and serve or reheat later.
